Temple and forehead enhancement can be achieved with a mix of injectables and fillers injected into various points of the forehead. Topical numbing cream can be applied before your injections, but most patients have minimal discomfort during treatment.
While neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport can smooth dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive movement, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers literally fill in deep wrinkles that are static. Static wrinkles are visible even when the face is not in motion, but the hyaluronic acid formula adds volume to hide their appearance. Neuromodulators can also give your brows a subtle lift when injected just under the tail of the eyebrows. By smoothing away horizontal forehead lines and glabellar lines (frown lines) between the brows and lifting the forehead, you can achieve a more youthful, refreshed look.
Dermal filler adds volume to combat the effects of skin aging such as sagging skin and loss of volume. Sculptra can also be used to fill in hollow temples that create a gaunt appearance. Sculptra is a unique type of injectable that stimulates collagen production for long-lasting, natural results. When injected into sunken temples, volume and a balanced facial appearance are restored.
Most patients bothered by the appearance of forehead wrinkles, volume loss, and sagging skin on their forehead and temples can benefit from forehead and temple fillers. Men and women with mild skin laxity can benefit the most since severe skin sagging may require surgery to recontour and lift the deep facial tissues. If you have a history of bleeding problems or are on certain medications, you may not be a candidate for dermal filler treatments. Temple and forehead enhancement requires virtually no downtime since the injections are a minimally invasive procedure. The only common side effects of injectable procedures are minor bruising, redness, and swelling around the injection site(s). Some improvements can be seen immediately but complete results may need a few months to gradually develop, depending on the products used.
