BodyTite uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to simultaneously melt felt and tighten skin. The procedure requires a tiny incision to be made into the skin but it is a less invasive treatment than liposuction. Local anesthesia will be injected into the treatment area to minimize any discomfort during treatment. Advanced safety mechanisms also ensure that the RF energy is delivered precisely to the desired treatment areas.
A small probe equipped with RF technology is inserted under the skin through the small incision. RF energy heats the deep tissues, stimulating new collagen fibers and constricting the deep tissues to tighten loose skin. Simultaneously, RF-generated heat melts unwanted fat cells for added body contouring.
BodyTite is a great choice for patients left with loose skin and excess fat after pregnancy or weight loss. Patients in overall good health with stubborn pockets of fat and mild to moderate skin laxity are ideal candidates for BodyTite. Unlike liposuction, loose skin is also targeted in this treatment. Before receiving BodyTite treatment, patients should be within 15 pounds of their ideal weight and have a body mass index (BMI) of less than 30.
There is minimal recovery time after BodyTite treatment. Mild discomfort and moderate swelling are to be expected but discomfort can be alleviated with cold compresses and over-the-counter pain medication. Most patients can return to work and their normal activities within 5-7 days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few weeks.
Results will develop gradually as new tissue regenerates and collagen fibers are tightened. Complete results can be seen in about 3 months or less once the swelling has reduced.
